Nota d'usoIn Gran Bretagna l'aggettivo Asian viene usato, soprattutto in riferimento alle persone, per indicare la provenienza dal subcontinente asiatico (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) e non da tutta l'Asia. Oriental indica per lo più persone originarie di Cina e Giappone, anche se in genere si preferisce specificare la nazionalità: She's Chinese, è cinese; They're from Thailand, sono tailandesi. Per riferirsi a chi proviene da paesi come Laos e Vietnam si può anche utilizzare la locuzione: South-East Asia, il Sudest asiatico. -
